naomis baptism

Naomi turned 8 on Sunday. I can't believe that I am old enough to have

a 8 year old. For her birthday she got a new baptism dress and scriptures.

So we went out for a drive to take some pictures. We had a good

time taking pictures, she felt just like a princess.

I do have to say they didn't turn out to bad for someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

Now I just have to figure out how to make a cute inviation for her baptism.

Any suggestions or any one wanting to do it?

We had our annual trip to Primary Childrens this week. We tried out the new PCMC in Riverton and it was great. Nice place and a shorter drive for us. We were only there for 45 mins.

When Naomi started her surgery she was 14mm off from her other leg. 4 months after her surgery she only moved to 12mm. I thought that we were in her for the long hall. But yerterday she mersured at 6mm off. We are almost there I can feel it. I feel like we hit a mile stone with her hips. We always go there and never seem to have good news. It was nice to go there and finally get good news. We are hoping that she will grow just a little bit more by 6 months then we can get the metal plates and screws OUT!

Rylee turned 1!

My baby is getting bigger everyday.

She has 6 teeth and is walking all over the place.

She weights 20.6 lbs and is 29 inches height

We had a small birthay for her because she wasn't feeling

very well that day. Come to find out that she had a ear infection.She wasn't too sure about the cake and poked at it a few times.The one thing that she loved was the ice cream. She takes after her mom.

It was a nice day to celebrate with my parents over for dinner.

But the best part is that my good friend Alicia took her pictures for me.

Alicia has taken her pictures from birth and I love each and everyone of them.
I was so excited to get them done.

I know that I will probally post most pictures of Rylee but this is my

favorite age. They are learning new things everyday.

Rylee just discovered babies. On Friday she held this baby all day.

She gave her kisses(just slobered) all over.

Maybe I just want to take more pictures because Rick gave me

a fantastic new lense for my camera. It is great!!

Rylee found a small plant in the corner and she was having a hay day eating.

I called and called her to find her behind the couch with a mouth full of dirt.
Sometimes I forget to feed my kids and this is what they get.

I know that I am really behind but we took a trip to California last week.
It was a long drive expecially with a baby, but we made it there.
I took a ton of pictures (397 to be exact) but I am still trying to figure out how to use it,

so only 50 turned out. So you get to see all 50 just kidding.

So here is just a few of my favs.

We had to go the Train Museum

We had our own personal guided tour.

I broke all the rules just to get 1 good picture.

The lighting was terrible in there.

The girls love to go fishing (my personal HELL)
This is Naomi catching the first fish. That is all that was
documented because I got the dodge out of there.
Holding Rylee in my arms for 2 hours is just wrong.

The next day we went up the canyon and the girls Oh! and Grandpa Jr
got into the water to cool down.

I love this hat so I was playing with my camera trying to capture

her great smile with her eyes.

Grandpa Jr plays the guitar really well. It is the one thing that I love about him.

Give him a song and he can play it. So this is right up Sadie's alley.

She loves to sing.

So this is what we did most nights. Our little rock band.

The girls had a chance to ride horses on the last day.

Grandma Linda has a friend with some horses.

They had a great time with it, but it was sooo hot and tons of flys.

Here is what I love about my kitchen.

It is big enough to put my kids in for a bath.

After a messy dinner on night I stuck her in the sink.

You would have thought that she was in heaven.

She laughed and played forever.

So that was my turn to try and use my camera.

I love her eyelashes they are really long and curl up.

So I thought of Carin (which she doesn't know who I am, I blog stalk her)

she is my friend Dede sister who takes wonderful pictures.

She had a challenge of capturing your kids eyelashes.

So this is my attempt to do so as she plays in the water.

Here is my beautiful baby in the sun.

I am blessed to have such a great baby.

I love it when things turn out. I made this fabric keychain for my keys.

I can either put this on my wrist when getting kids into the car, or it

makes a great hold for Rylee to suck on when going to the store.

first bite

Rylee is now 6 months old. So I just started to feed her cereal. My girls were so excited to do this. I thought that she would be so ready to eat because when I am eating she trys to grab my fork or cup.

So here we go this is the first bite.

She still has a smile on her face wondering what is going on.

Not quite sure but smiling at her sisters that are so excited.

This is what her face is after the second bite. She did not like this at all.

After all that every bite she learned how to push the bowl away and the spoon.

I would put the spoon in her mouth when she was talking.

I know that this is not a first but I would have her swallow the cereal by

putting the binky in her mouth and the food would go down.

When I went to feed her today she just started crying before I got the food to her mouth.

I have got a long road ahead.

So May 27th has come and gone but I am finally blogging about

Naomis surgery on her growth plate.

I was nervous on how it would go and how would she would do. But she did really good.

We woke up at 6:00 a.m. and left for Primary Childrens and got there about 6:45 a.m.

They take you back and register and give the parents name tags (so that the doctor can remember who you are)

Then the nurse comes and weights you and has you put there gowns on.

Naomi did really good up until that part. Once we started walking back to the waiting room before the surgery she turned around and cried and said "I don't want to do it"

And if you know me of course I held it together and not one tear fell.

Her doctor came back and talked about what was happening and they put her in the wagon and away she went. They gave her bubble gum air to smell and she does not remember anything else. The surgery took over 1 hour and I went back to see her.So this is what she has been doing for the last few days.

If you have a weak stomach don't look any further.

We took some pictures of what her leg looks like. They put screws

on both side of the growth plate hopping that her leg will stop growing.

I hope that this all works out that I (and Naomi) doesn't have
to do this ever again. I think this is harder on me than her.

My Sadie learned how to ride a bike last night. I was fixing dinner

and Rick came in and told me that I needed to come and watch her.

I came out and there she went. Starting and stopping by herself.

Thanks to Aryn Cerva for helping with the starting she is off and going.

(If Aryn is willing to move in I won't argue with anyone. She held Rylee while

I made dinner than went outside to help Sadie)

She is so proud of herself that she called everyone last night to tell them.

Okay Dede has helped me learn how to use my camera.

I bought it about 1 year ago and I am finally learning how to use it.

Believe it or not I have read the manual but it went in 1 ear and out the other.

So I have been playing with the camera(on manual) and this is the only

picture that I thought turned out half way good.

So I am posting this to have Dede is what I did.

I still have lots more to learn and lots more questions

now that I starting to take pictures.

So thanks to Dede for helping me out.

On Saturday we did the MS Walk at the Gateway.

We did it for my sister in law Jyll Mendenhall Roberts and Natalie Mendenhall

(middle picture of them)the MS sisters

Jyll had all the shirts made up for all 59 people that walked for her.

It was all amazing who came to support her. It is a nasty thing to have and

I hope that someday they will find a cure for MS.

You would never know that Jyll has MS. She will run circles around

everyone that I know. She works hard. She wants a family so bad

but MS does not stop her with that. She had a little girl Chloe in July.

There was thousands of people there walking, running and in a wheelchair.

We walked a 5K around Salk Lake with a break in the middle.

I was so proud my Dad and my Mom made it.(now that is dedication)

At the end they gave us medals. Sadie kept saying "I can't believe we won."

Eli said "I can't believe they gave us a bronze medal"

It was so much fun (and a excausting) day.

I can't wait to do it next year!!

2 months check-up

Rylee had her 2 month check-up on March 30, 2009

She had 3 shots in the leg and 1 oral.(which was new to me)

Of course she had her hips check and checked again.

So far so good!!

She also had a zit (thats what we called it. I am sure that is not a technical term)

on her neck which I pointed that out for you if you couldn't see it staring at you.

Her doctor removed that off of her.

She now weights 11.2 lbs (52%)

23 inches long (78%)

Sadie couldn't stand it that she was crying so much

that she was trying to make her stop. "It's okay Rylee I'm right here"

I'm sure glad that she was there to protect her.

So you remember to good old days when Naomi was 1 and she had this cute purple cast on?

Well today we had our annual check up with our Dr. Cast (Dr. Stotts) at Primary Children's Hospital. I was really hoping for good news but unfortunately we did not. Naomi's left leg just keeps on growing, which makes the hip cup not growing.

So in May she will have to have surgery to stun the growth of her left leg so that they can even up. She is kind of excited about all of this because she gets to have slurpee at the hospital and she gets to have crutches. (What ever makes her happy about this)

I am trying to make this happy for her but really I am dying inside knowing what she has to go through. Sometimes life isn't fair, but I love that she will smile about it and do it because she knows that it will work out.

Please keep her in your prays and have a positive attitude when and if you talk to her.

I love it when things turn out.

I made this memory game for my kids.

I found a fun paper and then my brother took mugshots of everyone in my family.

(you can have cute pictures but I don't know how to do that)

I put there pictures on the back and now my kids can play memory with pictures of my family.

This was fun and not that expense to make.

Who would have thought that a kite would be dangerous.

Today Sadie went to play at the neighbors house. They went

outside to fly a kite. Sounds simple right?

WRONG!!!

As the neighbor was trying to get the kite up the wind

said other wise and shot the kite done.

As the kite came down Sadie happened to be there

the the string went wrapping around her neck.

Luckly they got the string upwrapped and she came

running home.

Luckly she is alright, she is going to have

a red mark around her neck to remind her

(really she will remind me)

of what happened.

My favorite thing was to spoil you. I loved to take you to the store and buy what ever your little hands wanted. (even if I drop you on your head)

I have been getting no sleep these days.

So when Naomi goes to school I will feed Rylee

and then go to bed.

So my poor Sadie has to entertain herself for a little while.

...and while entertaining herself that morning she

decided to make me a new headboard in my room.

(that's how tired I was when I had no idea until I had woke up)

Today we wanted to learn for family home evening

about keeping our bodies clean.

We talked about keeping the insides clean, but here

we learned about keeping the outsides clean.

They were not to sure about this when the mask

started to dry and they could not even smile.

Here is a picture of all of us together.(if anyone makes

fun of me I don't want to hear it)

I just did this because they were driving me nuts and wanted to

do something fun for family home evening. To bad Rick is

not here or else I would make him to do it.

Hopefully soon I will add 1 more girl to this mix.

Alberta "Birdie" Jensen Roberts 1913 ~ 2008 NORTH OGDEN - Alberta "Birdie" Jensen Roberts, 95, passed away December 6, 2008 at her home.She was born August 10, 1913 in Salem, Idaho a daughter of Clements Heber Jensen and Edith Pollie Furse. Alberta graduated from Ogden High School. On February 14, 1934 she married W. Reed Roberts in the Salt Lake Temple. She has lived in North Ogden, Ogden, Cedar City, Salt Lake and Reno, Nevada. Alberta was a very devoted member of the LDS Church where she served in various ward and stake positions; including Relief Society President and Ward organist for 67 years. She served with her husband in the Ogden Temple and Family History Center. She enjoyed genealogy, sewing, quilting and taught piano lessons for 75 years. Alberta was active in the North Ogden Civic League and Daughters of Utah Pioneers Old Ben Camp, serving as Captain. Surviving are her children, Carol (George) Schindler of Reno, NV, Gwynne (George) Nichols of North Ogden, David (Arlene) Roberts of West Jordan; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving is one sister, Marjorie Smart of Roy. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one son, Evan. four years

I can't believe that it has been 4 years since I had her.

It feels like she has been with us forever.

She has got the greatest smile with the bluest eyes.

She can be stubborn but that come in handy sometimes.

She learned her alphabets at the age of 2 because she wanted to be

like her big sister Naomi.

She is so excited to have a birthday party today.

She was hopping that Scott would dress up as Cinderalla

but I don't think that will happen.

She said that if he can dress up as Burt why not a princess.

I love this girl and glad that it has been 4 years.

After a long day (really week) I took the girls to

Murray Park. They were so excited that they were running

and laughing together. I think that made up for Naomi, she

was mad that I pulled her out of school. She said "why can't

Kim or Emily come and get me?"walking to the slide they found some geese. My girls with no fear.

Started running for them saying "come here I just want to pet you"

Finally when I got to them they were covered in duck poop.I do have to say that this is a cute picture of them.

Sadie was so tired after playing and running hard. That she
sat down in the tree and said "I want to go home"
So we did.

Ricks Uncle Steven is in town from Missouri. Yesturday he had a meeting down town so me and the girls meet him down there and looked around. I am not much of a photographer like some of my other friends but I thought that this picture was pretty cool of the temple.

I love this picture of Sadie at the top of the Conference Center. I was thinking of the song "I love to see the Temple" and Sadie turns around and says "Mom I'm going there someday".

I sure hope that she does.

We went to dinner at the Garden and the girls was so excited.

The best part of the night for them was putting on make-up.

I had to make the walk around the block but as soon as I got

around they found Tyler and he took them around some more.

We made our annual trip to Scarecrow Festival down at

Thanksgiving point with my sister.

Like a good girl that I am I forget to take some really cool pictures.

So I will just tell you some. We got to see Todd(brother in law)

help bring in the helicoper in. My girls thought that was top

of the world. They like there Uncle Todd. Probally

because he acts there age. Ha Ha Ha

Larry Bird??

I know that it has been like 5 weeks since I have posted, but I really have a good excuse. Did I tell you that I am pregnant. And it is killing me! I barely can keep up with the house work and laundry (barely is the key word). I have been going to the doctors once a week to listen to the baby. I am 24 weeks and can not feel her. Maybe does it have to do that I have 2 uterus and she has a lot to swim in. Here is the good news I am finally feeling her this week!!!
Okay on to more exciting news. In September we took a fast trip to California and went to Mickeys Grove.( A really small and cheap zoo) It was great there. There was a total of 3 families there. But here is the best part of it. We got first class treatment there. They all thought that Rick was Larry Bird. At the end of our trip there one guy ended up asking us. So I played off of that and started calling him Larry. We got some looks and got to ride lots of time.

the roberts curse

My Roberts family has this curse. What ever child that you start out with

that is all that you can have. So today I was hoping to change that, but the

curse still stands. Unfortuantley I will never change that, I think that this

will be my last one.

I am really excited to have a new baby to our family and that I don't have

to figure new things out but it would have been nice to have Rick take

this new baby to the bathroom during dinner than me. So

now you will know why if I am late somewhere is because I have

4 head of hair to do.

She was moving her hands all over the place and Naomi thought that

was pretty cool to see her move.

Thanks to my Mom who came with me because Rick was out

of town. This was a new thing for my Mom to see.

what I love to spend my money on

Sadie and Naomi were helping me out(because I don't feel good)

to take the Winder milk cans over to the neighbors house.

As I was attempting to put the food away, Sadie came in screaming with

blood running down her face.

After cleaning it up and trying to see where the wound is.

This is what we found out. 1 inch battle wound on her forehead.

So off I go to the InstaCare (with a sticker shock that my insurance went

up to $25 instead of my confortable $15)

We ended up just glue it instead of stickes because Sadie would not

hold still for that long, and I would have to return to the InstaCarefor another $25.

Why is that my 2 GIRLS have had more stickes and more cast than

someone with lots of boys. My sisters have never had such a thing happen.

Sadie has done this twice. Naomi had stickes 1 and lots of cast.

So just beware if you take them to the doctors with wounds

make sure that your kids have there story straight so they don't

suspect you of anything.

10 reasons why I don't blog

I know I hear it from everyone why that I don't post anything any more.

So here is 10 reasons why my life is crazy.

1.I am to tired

2. I have a 1st grader(who comes home so tired)

3. I have a dirty house

4. I joined PTA (don't ask me why I did that one)

5. I don't feel good

6. I don't feel good

7. I don't feel good

8. I don't feel good

9. I am always hungry

10. I am 15 week pregnant

I tired to hide it but I am sure that most of you can tell since I have gained 7 pounds.

I come home from walking Naomi to school and my stomach hurts from sucking it in.

So I figure I might as well spill the beans out.

So that is why I don't do anything. I love to lay on the couch and wish that I had a slurpy.

I am so excited my nervous at the same time. 3 kids!!!

Here is amazing Jyll. After more than like 14 hours of labor. She finally had to have a c-section. I don't understand how she can look so great after that long of labor.

But Amy and I still like you even if you do look that great.

I know that I have not bloged for awhile, but I went on vacation

for a week and as soon as I got home down with the flu and strep throat

for the week. That was not fun.

So I thought I should at least tell Rick

"Happy Fathers Day"

He is such a great Dad to his girls and I am on top of that list.

He works so hard to make sure that I can stay home with our girls.

I am so grateful for him even if he will not be here with us today.

For memorial weekend the Roberts went outside of West Jordan.
I know that you are all surprised because our vacation are going to
Grandma house and camp in the back yard. Even though that is
really fun we had a great time in the Levan (navel spelled backwords)
We went 4-wheeling and even Annette went with me.
She had a great time and held on to so tight.
When there was the a little bump her hand would mirgrate
to the top of handle bars on my chest. (if you get what I mean)
She had a smile on her face.

At night they had a campfire in the back yard with a pond there.

So we had smores and it was great talking with my family.

Here is a great picture of Sadie so tired around the campfire.

Right after this she fell asleep on Grandma Arlene's lap.

After seeing the"Belief-O-Matic" on someone blog. I thought I would see if I was 8 percentage points away from being a Jehovah's Witness, and sure enough I was. Atleast I can fall back on Jehovahs Witness maybe I would be a little richer without all of those holidays that I spend money on. Ha!!

"Lunch Buddy"

Abby Gottfredson is Naomi's Buddy for the year.
She has really loved her.
They could not be more alike. They are both really quite, but they talk with each other. Naomi was so excited to go to lunch with her. Naomi could not stop talking about how she only ate a cookie and chocolate milk, and she ate more than Abby.
Maybe that is her secret of staying so skinny. I think that I will try that diet next.(Oh! I already do that)
Thanks Abby for being a great buddy to Naomi all year.

cabin get away

I was able to go to a beautiful cabin this weekend with 18 funny women.
It took awhile to get there because my little truck couldn't make
it up the hill. I had a great time getting to know different ladies
and learning new crafts.

We had a great time making bead earings and necklaces.
Thanks to Amber for letting us use the cabin.

Naomi is 6

Naomi just turned 6 years old on Friday the 18th. She had a great day. The first thing she shares her birthday with 2 other great people Samuel Horne and Emily Horne. Emily and I took over 36 balloons to school for them. Emily and I thought that we were the best Moms ever. After coming home she got to take 2 friends to FatCats and go bowling.

Then she wanted to get her ear pierced. So we went to Claires in the mall. Megan Cerva would say "Naomi it only hurts a little". I tried to get her to zip her mouth.
Got to the store and fear struck her. She did not want to do it any more, but Sadie did. So I let her, she didn't even cry so Naomi thought that she could do it and she did. So just take a look at the picture and it explains that they were in a great mood.

We had a great day and I can't believe that my little girl is now 6.

stupid computer

I bought this computer less than a year ago and my hard drive has crashed. How lucky am I?
After I was on the phone for 1 hour with Tech Support ( most of that trying to figure out what
she were saying, I think she was from India) they are going to send me a new hard drive. So
now I have lost some pictures and most important church stuff. I have to start all over in 3-5 days.

I do have to say that I have the cutest nephew around,
even if he is sporting pink pajamas.
Ethan is spending the night at my house tonight, but had no
pajamas with him. I said that I had plenty. I sent him and
Sadie in there to find some and this is what he came out with.
Now to top it all off he just came and asked if I could
paint his fingers and toes.
Hopefully Amy will let him come stay again.

29 degrees to 23 degrees

How ungrateful would I be if I did not thank my Heavenly Father for giving me such a brave girl. She has gone through so much in her life that I would not be able to do. Today we had her year check up. It was the longest wait time that I can remember. Naomi's left hip cup has to grow around her leg. Every year they take a x-ray and see if the cup has moved any. Last year we got a bad x-ray saying that it has not moved any. So this year if it did not grow anything then she would have another surgery to put a bone in there to cup around the leg bone, and be in a spica cast(full body cast) for 4 months. That does not sound fun to me. So I happy to say that it moved from 29 degrees to 23 degrees. (That is really good if you didn't know that)

We could not be happier today.
So I very grateful to my family and friends for prayer and fasting for her this month. My life would not complete with all of you in it to support us. So tonight I say my prayers in gratitude for a good hip and good friends and family.

Theres no place like Home

As much as I love Annette and want to help my Mom out. There is no place like home. This week has been crazy going back and forth from my Mom's to home. Today is my last day of being here to take care of Annette so I can sleep in my own bed!! But I am always glad to help out my Mom to get a break. Out of 365 days she gets 1 week of a break from her 40 year old daughter. If you think that you have it bad just think that my Mom has had 5 sets of twins and has changed over 50,000 diapers. What a great woman she is to never complain.
Thanks to Amy for being here with me and to hang out. It is always fun to take care of Annette when your sister can come with you, and her 2 sweet boys.

Naomi was so excited about her 100 days in Kindergarten that we had to take a picture of it. She has enjoyed Kingergarten with Mrs. Drake and can't wait until she goes to 1st grade.

I think that we have too much snow theses day. It snowed and the wind blew that there was so much snow up against our house that the girls could that a sneak peak over the snow. It took us a few hours and a 1 broken shovel to get threw the snow. After we have a little path Rick went on a hunt for a new shovel.

This week the girls got a new bedroom set for the first time. They were so excited. I painted the room a new color. I thought that had room before but now space is limited. The girls now think they can jump from bed to bed. I put an end to that before we are getting a cast put on. The only thing that I would like to get is a new bedspread. So if any one know where to find a cute brown and pink bedspread that is a good price fell free to let me know.

If you know me then you know that I love to paint my house. So I wanted to paint my girls room before there new furniture made it here. Naomi was so excited to help me painting that i let her help me paint to primer. My Naomi is growing up so fast she is a very good helper.

Just wanted to say thank you thank you so much for fasting or saying a prayer for Naomi. I found out that so many people were fasting for her. I really do appreciate close friends and family that support me. So thank you again and I pray that on the 25th we have a good x-ray and we can put this behind us.

On February 25th Naomi has a pretty big x-ray for her hip.
